The original Defensor Fortis book started out as a document I made available to Security Policemen as a brief history since the amount of history information given to newly selected Security Policemen was becoming scarce during the Basic Security Police academy located on Lackland Air Force Base.  That was 2001.

In 2003, that original document was still making its way around the community and people were asking for more.  I added a bit more and threw it into a book and people bought bunches of them.  Surprisingly, more than 4000 copies are out there floating around.  Not too shabby! Especially considering its word-of-mouth status, limited audience, and absolutely no advertising at all.  It was successful in its own right.

But Defensor Fortis (Second Edition) is a more thorough history, in a chronological format, and a pretty easy read.  Its got lots of new information and many new images.  It gives a timeline of Military Police, Air Police, Security Police, and Security Forces History.  There is information that you will learn and I believe you’ll like it.
